We’re looking for a proactive Business Support Officer to provide essential administrative support across our Forestry, Instant Hedge, Conservation and Game Departments. This varied role involves coordinating office activities, supporting project management, and facilitating communication between teams and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
· Manage general office administration including phones, emails, scheduling and supplies
· Take full ownership of Civic Christmas Tree operations as main client liaison
· Coordinate activities across forestry and conservation teams
· Maintain accurate data, records and files for all departments
· Support project logistics, documentation and follow-ups
· Deliver professional customer service to clients, suppliers and contractors
· Process sales orders across all departments, maintain databases, and prepare quotes and invoices
· Monitor inventory levels and assist with procurement
· Ensure environmental compliance and best practices
· Prepare reports and presentations for stakeholders
· Comply with health and safety requirements across all work areas
· Solve day-to-day problems as they arise
What We’re Looking For
Essential: - GCSE English and Maths (grade 4+) OR demonstrable experience in a similar role - Minimum 1 year office administration experience or recent completion of relevant business qualification - Advanced Microsoft Office skills - Excellent attention to detail and record keeping - Strong communication skills, tact and diplomacy - Logical problem-solving ability - Quality focused team player who thrives in a dynamic environment - Ability to multitask, prioritise and adapt - Commitment to continuous skills development
Desirable: - Business qualification or apprenticeship - Experience with NetSuite, Omnia or GIS mapping - Background in environmental conservation, horticulture or forestry.
