Welcoming a new murder mystery company to Elveden! Join in an interactive night of suspicious circumstances at the National Fish Fryer's Awards Ceremony.  £37.95 pp.

Sunday 27 May 2012     Elveden Tear Jerker Triathlon

If mud, sweat and tears are your thing, the Elveden Tear Jerker Triathlon is a must-do event.  On 27 May 2012, Elveden will open the farm gates to the sporting community for an off-road triathlon, The Tear Jerker, which aims to be the most demanding in East Anglia.

Ruth Lawrence, triathlon organiser at Elveden says, "Using the typical Breckland landscape to its maximum, the sandy soils and flat landscapes provide a unique challenge."

“The Tear Jerker is so-named to highlight the difficulty of the course,” she continues. “Plus it has the added significance of Elveden's position as a major UK onion grower – as onions are renowned for making you cry!”

The event involves a 750m swim on Elveden's reservoir (wetsuits are compulsory), 25km mountain bike route and a 5km run. The event is on private land, with only a very small section of public road. This is the first time that Elveden has opened its gates to the public for a sporting event like this.
