Elveden Estate and Farms
|
Elveden rose to significance as an internationally renowned shooting Estate in the nineteenth Century. His Royal Highness Maharajah Duleep Singh sold the property to Edward Guinness, the 1st Earl of Iveagh, in 1895.
From the 1860’s, Elveden’s Best quality game was sold to the smartest London restaurants and department stores, delivered by special courier. From the 1930’s the 2nd Earl made great progress, creating dairy and beef enterprises, utilizing revolutionary agricultural practices.
My father continued this evolution, phasing out much of the stock, and we were to become the largest single UK producer of sugar beet.
Sensing an end to the regulated market in sugar, we moved to produce top quality onions, potatoes, carrots and parsnips.

Elveden Fine Foods is one of the leading wholesale distributors within the Eastern Region and its primary function is to promote local food through supermarket and independent retailers. It was set up in response to the growing demand for our regions food and drink and has been operating for 3 years.

Our unique food distribution service provides one delivery for an extensive range of products.
We endeavour to utilize our routes as efficiently as possible; collecting from suppliers and delivering to our customers wherever appropriate.
We supply a growing number of outlets, making our local and regional products more available than ever.
Our service supports the principle of local sourcing and the local economy.

Our Catering Service

Building on our strength of our retail service, the catering opportunities are growing and we have our own dedicated catering wholesale team to enable Chefs and other catering outlets to obtain the highest quality of local produce, meats and game that are either BRC/Freedom Food or similar accreditations.
We can deliver to the 6 counties in the Eastern Region.
