The in-hand farm at Elveden extends to some 10,000 acres and the principal crops grown are potatoes, onions, carrots, wheat and rye.
The soils are light textured, free-draining and easy to work but prone to drought.
Irrigation is vital to ensure quality and reliability of supply for our customers. The farm has built up an extensive irrigation system to ensure efficient, safe and timely watering of valuable crops.

Our farm is the largest arable farm in a single block in lowland Britain. We grow all of our crops on our Estate every year. We are Britain’s largest grower of vegetables working entirely on our own land.
